Marine Design & Survey have a team of Queensland accredited Naval Architects/Marine Surveyors in the categories of design (Steel, Aluminium, FRP and Timber), stability, loadline, Initial survey and annual and periodic survey and our team is authorized to issue Certificates of Compliance and Certificate of Survey in these categories within Australia. We can offer you the complete design solution from initial preliminary concept design through seatrials. We can design vessels to local & international survey/ classification standards:

Complete Vessel Design

Ranging from 6 – 100 plus meters in Steel, Aluminium, FRP & Timber from simple little pontoon to big cargo ships (Container Ship, General Cargo Ship, Bulk carrier, Oil tanker etc.)

3D Modeling

  • MDS uses 3D computer modeling program which we can use to generate highly accurate cutting data for your Marine Design Kit.

Preliminary Feasibility Studies

MDS can provide project feasibility studies for your project, ranging from preliminary studies for costing trough to in-depth technical studies.

Vessel Modifications/Refits

Machinery and Ship Systems Design

We can supply designs for machinery installations (Outboard motors, inboard engines and stern drives), shafting arrangements, rudder and steering gear arrangements, fitting of deck equipment and loading / unloading equipment. We can also supply schematics drawings and equipment lists for bilge systems, ballast systems, ships fuel and cargo fuel transfer systems, fire protection systems etc.

Design reviews & Design Approvals for Queensland survey
